Missions We Support

Ability Ministry

As an independent Christian non-profit ministry, Ability Ministry strives to enhance the lives of persons affected with disabilities. Ability Ministries provides services for adults with developmental disabilities, including residence, job placement, opportunities for social interaction and spiritual growth.

They seek partnership with individuals, churches, and other organizations to meet the physical and spiritual needs of persons with disabilities.  They also work to enable others through training, resources, and encouragement to effectively minister. They also manage two residential facilities for adults with disabilities, one in Missouri and the other in Tennessee.

Mwangaza

Mawangaza's desire is to establish ministries that will take care of the physical, emotional and, most importantly, spiritual needs of those who are lost and broken.

Their ministry is implemented through three areas of activities:

  1. - Compassion Ministries (education, health, economic empowerment and orphan care)
  2. - Leadership Training (conferences and seminars for lay and church leaders)
  3. - Bible Distribution

High Hill Christian Camp

High Hill Christian Camp and Retreat Center is a Christian camp owned and operated by Independent Christian Churches of mid-Missouri. Their goal is to offer a fun, Christian atmosphere in a modern camp-setting surrounded by God’s wilderness. They strive to offer weeks of camp that will foster the spiritual growth of your child. Their prayer is that your child will leave High Hill Christian Camp with a closer relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

High Hill is currently serving around 30 member churches and hosts over 1,600 campers and an additional 400 volunteer faculty every summer.  Additionally, the camp has become a facility that can be used year-round for retreats and rentals.

First Christian Church has been a part of this ministry since its beginning.

Celebrate Recovery

Celebrate Recovery is a recovery program

based primarily on biblical teachings and the words and loving power of Jesus Christ.

While some recovery programs only deal with drugs or alcohol, Celebrate Recovery works to address all kinds of “habits, hurts, and hang-ups". The program is based on the 12 Steps and 8 Guiding Principles, which come from the Biblical teachings of the Sermon on the Mount when Jesus talks about 8 ways to be happy—also referred to as the Beatitudes.

Celebrate Recovery focuses on interaction and group fellowship, too, which goes along with the New Testament principle that we need each other to grow emotionally and spiritually.

Ozark Christian College

Located in the city of Joplin, Missouri, OCC has been educating and sending out men and women into the field of ministry. Since 1942, their mission has remained the same: OCC trains men and women for Christian service. Many people want to serve God and make a difference with their lives, but they aren't sure where to start. At Ozark Christian College, students discover the kingdom assignment that God has for them, and there they find help to prepare them.

Emphasis is given to vocational preparation for preaching ministers, missionaries, worship ministers, youth ministers and children's ministers. Biblical and practical training is also provided for those who will serve in the church in non-vocational roles such as elders, deacons, Bible school teachers and youth sponsors.

Central Christian College of the Bible

Central Christian College of the Bible was founded in Moberly, Mo. in 1957 with the purpose to "recruit and train leadership for the church at large according to the New Testament teaching." Their focus has been on "connecting their students to the One that made you, called you, and is preparing future works for you."  The education offered at CCCB grounds every student in biblical truth and understanding and then help shape the manner in which they go into the world and share the truth of Jesus.

Central offers residential, extension, graduate, online, and continuing education. Multiple Locations include Moberly, St. Louis, Cincinnati, online, and other places where the church may need more trained workers.
